The Festival of Lights returns for the Summer 2025 update!

Jul 17
Whew, is it hot! I don't know about you guys, but the summer heat has me BEAT. I'm sweating buckets while I work, and there's only so much water you can drink at a time. Maybe I should take a trip to the beach...

Ah, don't mind me. You didn't come here to listen to me ramble, you're here for the latest LoE update (version V2025.03.001), which can be found on our website. And what an update we have in store for you!

The Festival of Lights is back in town, and this year we've got something special in store. A group of ponies across Equestria has organized something they call the "Glowing Gallop". They've arranged lanterns all around each city, and the aim is to keep them lit for as long as possible, filling ponies with hope and strength. Sometimes, after you light them they will drop little trinkets that you can trade with somepony named Cindermane in Ponydale for special prizes. He's got festival lanterns and mystery food boxes galore. It's party time, woooo!

There's a travelling author in town who has written a book detailing the origins of our wonderful festival. See Violet Spark down in Ponydale for your copy today!

While we're on the subject of the Festival of Lights, there's new fireworks to set off! Razzle Dazzle needs help with a new firework idea, and should she succeed she shall surely sell some special sparklers for you to show.

The weather continues to surprise us. Sometimes after the rain has stopped, you'll find that you can hide in the mist it leaves behind.

And last, but certainly not least, quest experience rewards have been tweaked to give different amounts of XP. The amount you receive is affected by your level, so the tougher you are, the more you'll get (though there is a limit to how much you can obtain).

Alas, that's all for today. As usual, you can find the full list of changes in the changelog. We look forward to celebrating with you in the wonderful world of Equestria.

All aboard! Legend of Equestria's Dress to Impress update is now available!

May 23

Hello everypony! Spring is in full swing -- the grass is green, the birds are back, the flowers are in full bloom, and I've got allergies from all this pollen! ATCHOO!

sniff Ugh, I gotta get me some cetirizine. Anyways, you can find the latest version of LoE, 2025.02.001, on our website here.

So what's been happening? Well, Marvell's been working hard lately on a new line of dresses, and wow, are they impressive. They sure are pricey (cost almost my entire last paycheck), but now I'm prettier than ever before!

I've been hearing rumors lately about a large and scary timberwolf stalking the Evershade. They say its followed by a pack of regular timberwolves, and when defeated releases a spirit that summons friendly timberwolves. I sure hope I don't come them across on my next trip.

Flying has never been more fun! Pegasi now zoom past buildings, trees, and other large objects, and the camera is much smoother when tapping the turn keys.

Remember the train tracks in the Frontier I mentioned last update? Well, turns out that the train is now operational. All aboard! Choo choo!

There were many other things I wanted to talk about, but there's only so much time in the day. You can find the full list of changes in the update here. I hope to see you all in the wonderful world of Equestria.

Legend of Equestria's 2025 Spring update is here!

Mar 05
Heya everypony! Been a while since we last saw each other. This year has been really cold; I couldn't stop sneezing for weeks. Thank goodness for hot chocolate and marshmallows, there's nothing better to help you get through a freezing winter night.

...oh, right, the update. Silly me! You can find the latest version, 2025.01.001, on our website.

(Ellowee from the future here! I was just informed that in this update the game was upgraded to Unity 6, which no longer supports my favorite OS, Windows 7. It's a bummer, but I'm happy that we were able to support it for so long)

Before we start, I have a teensy tiny thing to talk about. You may have noticed a change in the game's version. Up until now we followed the "year-major-minor" format, but we found that it caused some confusion. After an intense snowball fight to decide how it might be changed, we decided to add an extra zero to pad out the minor number. So now you know why this update is version 2025.01.001. Every subsequent update will follow this format.

Now that that's out of the way... it's the end of winter! The Winter Warm Up quest is active again, and will be available until April 13th. So grab your vests and help ready Ponydale for spring!

With the press of a button, you can swap between two different sets of equipment. Coming back from a long hard day in the Evershade, but need to quickly change clothes for a gala? No problem! Instant wardrobe swap!

Of course, this cool new ability can't be used willy-nilly. It's hard to change back and forth that quickly. Still, it's absolutely worth it.

The Ponydale Library got a snazzy makeover! There's now a day/night cycle, a light switch on both floors, and even new music at night!

The Ponydale Boutique also shares some improvements as well, adding a day/night cycle and a light switch.

I heard rumors that the Frontier ponies are laying down railroad tracks. I have a feeling we might see a train chugging along them soon...

I was also informed that the default movement keys have been changed -- A has been switched with Q, and D has been switched with E. Fret not, existing players! Your movement scheme has been left untouched. This change only affects new players.

That's all for now! You can find the full list of changes in the update here. We hope to see you all in the wonderful world of Equestria.

Legends of Equestria's Fall 2024 update is now available!

Oct 27
Hello everypony! Spooky season has come around again; it's time for Hallowtide! Version 2024.05 is now available to download from our website.

This update is chock full of treats for you all! The fall season is in full swing, and Ponydale has never looked more orange:

Colder weather means rain and thunderstorms, which can occur throughout Equestria. Don't forget your umbrella!

Hallowtide, the spooky season is here! Foals are pretending to summon Black Flag by offering some candy and chanting at his supposed gravesite. Give this spooky game a try, you never know what might happ

Getting all dressed up is half the fun of Hallowtide! Ensemble has a new costume: the mythical Mermare.

And there's also an armor set based off of the scary timberwolves!

The new Bone Golem drops pieces of this armor. There might be a way to learn the recipe...I've been told "Read the fallen notes", but I wonder where I would find those? Perhaps near where timberwolves gather?

A full list of what's new can be found in our changelog. I can't wait to see you all! Happy Hallowtide!
